Hashimoto founds anime studio Stepple

Anime director and animator Hiroyuki Hashimoto has announced on his Twitter account that he founded a new animation studio named Stepple. He indicated that the studio presently employs only three staff members, including himself, and is not yet open to new employees but will grow in the future. At present, Hashimoto is receiving private messages from freelance animators and line directors who are interested in joining the studio.
Hashimoto is best known for his directorial work in anime. He made his animation director debut with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion in 2006, and his episode directorial debut with Basquash! in 2009. He continued as an episode director for such anime as Heaven’s Lost Property, Angel Beats!, Tiger & Bunny, Ben-To, Accel World, and others. His first full anime directorial debut came with Is the order a rabbit? in 2014. He also directed the anime’s second season in 2015, along with subsequent entries, and directed anime series including Magical Girl Raising Project, Classroom of the Elite, Slow Start, Laidbackers, Estab-Life: Great Escape, Classroom of the Elite II, and he is set to direct Magical Girl Raising Project Restart. Prior to his directorial credits, he was a key animator on various projects for Sunrise, J.C. Staff, and Madhouse.
